Concert et Milonga du 27 novembre 2009

La soirée comportera 3 parties qui permettront d’avoir un aperçu de l’évolution du Tango. Le voyage se fera à l’envers avec en première partie, de 20h30 à 21h30, le Duo Zisman/Fulgido qui proposera son répertoire fait de créations personnelles et d’arrangements de Tango nuevo dans un style qu’on peut qualifier de tango nuevo - jazz.

En deuxième partie vers 22h, Le duo revisitera des thèmes plus classiques de l’âge d’or du Tango. Ces musiques, crées le plus souvent pour des orchestres trouveront une expression plus “sobre” avec le duo guitare-bandonéon.

2 jeunes couples, Samuel Scherer et Laura Wirz et Jens Krüger et Mélanie Wurth vont accompagner les musiciens en présentant des improvisations de Tango. Ces 2 couples font partie de ce qu’on peut appeler la nouvelle vague du Tango. Passionnés, ils animent l’association bâloise Plan-T (www.plan_t.ch) qui a créé un véritable phénomène de société parmi les étudiants de l’université de Bâle.

Les 2 couples qui danseront ce soir, se produisent régulièrement dans des shows de rue et parcourent l’Europe pour participer aux “marathons de tango”. Nous aurons la chance de les voir danser juste avant leur départ pour quelques mois à Buenos Aires.

Enfin en troisième partie dès 23h un bal tango - milonga avec un DJ réunira des danseurs de tout horizon. Ce sera l’occasion de découvrir les tangos classiques dans leur orchestration originale. La milonga se terminera vers minuit et demi.

MICHAEL ZISMAN was born in 1982. musical studies in buenos aires with nestor marconi, bandoneon and juan c. cirigliano (former pianist of astor piazzolla), composition.

He made his first public appearance at age 11 together with tango legends leopoldo federico und atilio stampone,
as a surprise guest at their concert in geneva in 1993.

he debuted on the big stage in 1994 as part of a tango ensemble, directed by his father daniel zisman in a benefice event called “tous les violons du monde” presented by lord yehudi menuhin.
Together with his father michael zisman has realized a vast number of records aswell as toured the world in various formations (such as 676 nuevotango ensemble, duo tango2 or as soloists with both symphonic and chamber orchestras).

studies at the swiss jazz school (improvisation/ composition & arrangement) with bert joris, andy scherrer, frank
sikora, klaus wagenleiter and klaus könig. various master classes e.g. with leopoldo federico, jim mcneely, osvaldo ruggiero, roberto lara and daniel schnyder.

aside from an extensive tango and jazz standard repertoire, michael zisman, who has both the swiss and the argentinian citizenship, specializes in the music of astor piazzolla. as a soloist he has performed among others with: the israel philharmonic orchestra, the brussels jazz orchestra, the boston mit symphony orchestra, the swiss jazz orchestra, the berne symphony, the jad sharif chamber orchestra, the basel chamber orchstra and the camerata zurich. appearances in swiss an US national television.

appearances at the world expo 2000 in hannover and on u.s. national tv, such as on numerous festivals, like menuhin fesitval gstaad, trieste international tango festival, baltica jazzfestival, estival jazz lugano, notti di luce bergamo, tango festival wuppertal, festival trayectos zaragoza, bandoenon festival krefeld, international jazzfestivals berne and zurich, etc.

in 2001 he was a soloist in the swiss scenic premiere of the operita maría de buenos aires.

zisman collaborated in different projects and recordings over the years with well known artists such as szymsia bajour, alfredo marcucci, bert joris, franco ambrosetti, giora feidman, dado moroni, antonio farao, mark soskin, adrian iaies, thierry lang, yvonne catterfeld, silvana deluigi, michael zisman (bass), peter frei, heiri kaenzig, and many more, aswell as with his onw ensembles.

in 2007 michael zisman is winner of the 1st prize in the bandoneon category of the international accordeon competition in klingenthal, germany.
